Yesterday, while on the road, journeying on my way to bond with the rest of the praise and worship gang, I sat in the passenger seat of a good friend, sister in Christ, and the Praise & Worship Leader of my church’s local campus. While sitting in the passenger seat of her vehicle, we engaged in a heart warming conversation. I simply told her, “As long as I abide in this city, I am staying right here at Seacoast. It is the perfect place for me as it embodies my very being. It will only take an act of God to get me to leave this place, as I am never leaving.” She chuckled and said, “YES GIRL!!! Me too, I am Seacoast allllllllll the way.” I have always been aware of the ministry of Seacoast Church, as it was one of the several dominating ministries of my undergraduate college, The College of Charleston. Many of my close college friends were and are lifelong members of that church, one of them being my best friend, mother of my 5 precious godchildren, and Vice Chair of my dance organization, Aletheia. Dance, Inc. She is the sweet gal that coordinated our outreach dance classes with their North Charleston campus in 2015, leading me to attend some of their events that she would be a part of and community small group Bible studies. I would be asked by my friends as to why I didn’t originally join years ago in my return to the Carolinas, but I simply told them that it was not the will of the Lord, as He took me on a different route. If you are an “artsy-fartsy, creativo”, like myself, a compassionate people lover, intuitive, philanthropist, humanitarian, seeker of adventure, finding beauty within His unique creation, absorber of aesthetic worship experiences, one who indulges in basking in His peace and His presence, a believer in strong family values, while valuing others in the body of Christ, and takes delight in even the simple things, then don’t hesitate in visiting this sweet humble abode. They are a friendly, sincere, humble, compassionate, very transparent, and diverse body of believers, with such pure hearts that are full of so much love. The core is to win souls and watch others grow, just as strong as my heart for local and global missions, which was invested in me by a church I attended while in graduate school at Regent University. #Seacoastfamily Learn more about the ministry of Seacoast Church at www.seacoast.org.
