I had the pleasure of getting to know the Editor In Chief of Classy And Chic Gems Magazine, Anita Ford, by way of the Atlanta International Fashion Week's Team of Fashion Editors. As a former Fashion Editor and Contributing Writer of Atlanta International Fashion Week's 2019 Fashion Blog, after the 3 year pause in operations due to the pandemic, eventually I was temporarily given the task from the Founder & Director of Atlanta International Fashion Week, Paula Whittle, to hire the new 2022 team of Fashion Editors.  With a small pool of candidates, I ended up hiring Anita Ford and another Independent Fashion Blogger, Designer, & Enthusiast, Vikee Koh. We were a small but mighty fashion editing team who eagerly waited and anticipated attending events, so that we could blog away. Finally a door had opened for us to meet in person at the 2022 Atlanta International Fashion Week as the official AIFW fashion bloggers. Eventually, while still in a season of waiting, the three of us eventually decided to venture out and pursue our own works in the field. Anita Ford, had offered myself and Vikee to join her team writers for her Christian magazine, Classy And Chic Gems Magazine. The both of us accepted the opportunity.

Classy And Chic Gems Magazine is a Christ centered magazine with a mission to provide insightful, faith filled, and inspiring content. The Editor In Chief desires for the magazine to point you to the cross and motivate you to achieve your dreams.  The magazine currently has a team of 10 writers, including myself, Marketing Truth, LLC, in which each month she provides a theme for the writers to focus on. The theme of focus is actually the theme for the upcoming magazine issue. Every page is spirit-filled, and every word leaps off of the pages to engage the readers on a journey of life in hopes that it leads them to Christ.

The REAL Theatre, "Raw. Elemental. Artistic. Live", is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, based in Carrollton, Georgia. The organization is committed to the creation of performing arts experiences in the pursuit of community connection and discovery. The mission of the organization is as follows:

It was founded and currently owned by two amazing professional performing artists, Co-Artistic Directors, Patrick Yuran & Doug Chanselle-Hary. This artistically grounded organization hosts master classes, workshops, performances, school and organizational artist drop-ins, artist series, and artist talks within the community to expose and educate their community on the world of professional theatre. The events are led by  the Co-Artistic Directors and other working professional performing artists, such as Broadway Theatre actors.

I was connected to The REAL Theatre by way of The Sleepover film's Script Supervisor, Regina Wells. Regina Wells, also know as "Gena-Mae", and myself had an instant connection on the set of "The Sleepover", while fulfilling my role as Producer & 2nd Assistant Camera Operator for the film. There was a kindredness and camaraderie in which you would think that we were related. However, what we discovered was that though we are not related, we are 10 years apart in age, but our birthdates are the exact same date, February 20th. During my time of working alongside Regina, she learned that I was a professional in the digital marketing and marketing fields. After spearheading the private screening of "The Sleepover", Regina called me with a potential opportunity to interview for the role as Marketing Director of a professional theatre company that she was connected to. I was stoked! Due to God's divine timing and appointment, I was currently in search of freelance marketing work, and this opportunity fell right in my lap. Out of excitement for the potential lead, I accepted the offer to interview for the role. Though faced with technical challenges at a nearby Starbucks, causing a second interview to be held, I continued the interview process while behind the scenes of the set of "Cooking With Katina". Ironically, I successfully nailed the interview after completing the task of drafting a creative brief and proposal for their first event of the autumn season.  I had received  a 3 month contract designing, developing, and optimizing landing pages, social media management strategy, content creation & design, development, and execution, website editing, print design for programs, newspaper and magazine ads, and etc...., with the potential for the contract to become a long-term part-time role. Long story short, my 3 month contract was extended, and I have had such a delight in creatively expressing marketing concepts online for such an amazing organization. Patrick Yuran, Co-Artistic Director of The REAL Theatre, is also the President of The Rotary Club of Carrollton, GA. The rotary club is a local group of professionals who are leaders in business and various fields, who volunteer their time to serve their community by way of various humanitarian projects. Due to Patrick's position as President of the rotary club and his contentment with the established relationship and offered services, I was divinely given the opportunity to take the role as Web Editor and Designer of all of the marketing collateral for The Rotary Club of Carrollton, GA's annual event, "The Rotary's West Georgia Got Talent".  The West Georgia Got Talent is an amazing opportunity for the undiscovered talented jewels of Carrollton, GA to audition and showcase their talent in front of an audience in person and online, as well as a panel of judges. Not only does the winner receive a cash prize, but the event itself financially contributes to a chosen charitable organization. It was a blissful and rigorous experience in updating their website with new content for the current year's annual showcase, as well as designing the print ads and ticket design for the event.     Branton McMahan is the CEO of Project 29:11 Productions. I met Branton through the Christian Filmmakers Network in submitting my portfolio for his crew call as Director for the film, "Good & Faithful". After submitting my portfolio, I received an email for an interview for their Marketing Position. It was during the interview that I had the chance to meet the infamous three, Branton McMahan, Deja McCray, & Mikayla Denny, who are currently working as First Assistant Camera Operator, Second Assistant Camera Operator, & Line Producer along with me for the The Sleepover. After the interview I left with two positions, Marketer & COVID-19 Coordinator. I truly enjoyed sitting in a few of their pre-production meetings, as Branton is extremely experienced, motivated, and passionate about filmmaking, and Mikayla Denny, who I absolutely adore, working right alongside him with such a detailed eye, a plethora of background knowledge as a film student abiding in Talking Rock, GA, and extremely organized. Branton abides in Villa Rica, GA, which is where all of his creative juices are stirred birthing the most beautiful divine art.
        I started off in graphic design and content creation for their social media platform during pre-production, while creating their COVID-19 social distancing plan for productions days and submitted to be approved by the Film Director. I ended up working both positions remotely during production days due to feeling a little under the weather. Therefore, I virtually met with the assigned Production Assistants, along with Mikayla, via zoom for each production day, and delegated the COVID-19 Social Distancing Plan that I had created for the set, along with a list of materials for them to purchase for that plan, while maintaining the social media page. However, I still had a high time, and came onboard during post production to assist Branton in designing and capturing his vision for the movie's film poster.

​    Meet Kamara Campbell! Kamara Campbell is the CEO of Exodus 12 Productions, LLC located in Columbia, South Carolina. She is the Writer & Director of the soon coming feature film, Identity . I had the privilege of connecting with Kamara through the global Christian Filmmaker's Network 1 year ago during COVID-19. While attempting to connect with local filmmakers of the South Carolina market by posting my request within the network, Kamara, along with a few others responded. From there we exchanged phone numbers, websites, and I even sent her the information to the Hollywood Prayer Network Columbia Chapter. When engaging in conversation over the phone, she mentioned the film project that she was currently working on, Identity, and was in the process of seeking more crew members. I simply told her what positions that I could hold to assist her in the pre-production and production process. 
        Identity is a feature film that will be released in 2022. The film is about a high school senior by the name of Anthony Davis who posts his sexual orientation on social media, in which becomes viral to the general public. From then on the plot remains Anthony internally conflicting with his personal beliefs and coming to a resolve before it destroys his relationship with his family and faith in God. Campbell states:

    It is a film that is centered on the LGBT community and how to properly minister to their needs.  Everyone knows             somebody who has been impacted by the LGBT community, as well as everyone knows those "Christians" who seem         to minister off balance. The idea for IDENTITY came in 2019. Our director/writer, Kamara Campbell, was a part of           the LGBT community. She was able to experience many different types of hardships from inside as well as being
   a church kid. When she came to surrender her life to Christ in 2015, she realized the Lord started using her
   when sharing her testimony in helping the church know how to balance and minster effectively while still standing
   on the Word of God. Also she was able to help people who were in the LGBT community understand that God
   isn't calling them from going to gay to straight, but to realize they are broken and in need of a Savior who will
   help them walk in holiness and live upright. (Campbell, 2021)

            I too have had the honor of stating my experiences with gently sharing the gospel to those of the LGBT community and why I fully support this film due to former classmates, former students that I've taught within the public school system, and fellow artist within the industry. I have had the pleasure of wearing several hats, as Production Assistant, Casting Associate, Second Assistant Camera Operator, and soon Boom Operator. Each role has been such a delight. Bonding with the cast and crew and watching God move on the day of each production has been a blessing to witness first hand. I absolutely love the heart of Kamara, as she is very in tune with the Holy Spirit in listening to his instructions and acting in obedience, carefully capturing the vision that God is giving her, properly portraying the divinely inspired message, taking care of the transportation needs of her cast and crew members, and her leaps of faith. I truly pray that the film moves on the hearts of those in the church in how to show compassion towards those of the LGBT community and effectively reach them. I am looking forward to seeing the film in theaters and working alongside her in more projects to come.     Meet Patricia Williams, Thee Blueprint Coach that inspires those around her, as she embraces her very own blueprint as a survivor and overcomer. I originally met Patricia Williams in October of 2020, while performing a virtual and "over the phone" digital media consultation for her business referral network, Thee Collective Connection. At the time I was representing another company, and she questioned me as to why I wasn't doing this for my own business. I told her that I was lightly doing it on the side as freelance work, but I didn't want to blur the lines. Though intrigued by the materials presented within the consultation, she gave me a more detailed description of the small business owners within her network, and how it may be more feasible for them to use my personal services as a business owner, and not the company that I was representing. Due to the non-compete policy of the company at the time, I did not pursue. However, I eventually transferred from that position of that particular company, allowing me to join her business referral network, Thee Collective Connection. Since joining, I have had the opportunity to speak at one of their Meet & Greet representing Marketing Truth, LLC, meet other business owners within her network, participated as a panelist in a few of her social media LIVE discussions, and attended her Blueprint Entrepreneurial trainings, along with another close friend and business owner.
     Patricia is a woman that wears many hats. Not only is she the CEO of her very own business referral network for entrepreneurs, influencers, non-profits, community leaders, and aspiring entrepreneurs, Thee Collective Connection, and Blueprint Entrepreneurial Trainer, in which she helps other business owners build their brands, but she is also the Co-Founder of Thee Emperial Elites. Thee Emperial Elites is a community outreach group created by her and her sister, geared towards geriatrics and youth. It originally began as a breast cancer awareness walk in honor of their aunt, who had breast cancer. Thee Emperial Elites has been going strong for 9 years. It has been a pleasure getting to know Patricia in the middle of COVID-19, as she has been such an inspiration in the midst of an pandemic that caused uncertainty for many small business owners.      I had the honor of meeting Mrs. Kesha Broady at Thee Collective Connection February Meet & Greet, and getting to know her has been such a delight from the start.
