COMING TO GREENVILLE, SC May 23-25!!!!!

Statement of Project Dance
Project Dance® is a movement of dancers seeking to positively impact culture through artistic integrity. Our desire is to see every dancer nurtured to their fullest human potential for their own well being and their contribution to the world. We offer training, education, and performance opportunities for dancers worldwide who desire to dance with integrity to inspire.

Mission
The Project Dance Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of providing training, networking, education and performing opportunites for dancers worldwide.  We seek to make dance accessible to the public through outdoor/open air performances in prominent urban locations such as New York City, London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Washington DC.  These concerts bring hope and healing to humanity and offer a positive message to those who attend.   Dancers around the world gather to encourage and support one another through training, networking and performing.  Our goal is to see every dancer nurtured to their fullest human potential, and by doing so, to realize a more positive and redemptive culture of dance and entertainment for the future generations.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES
The Project Dance Foundation is guided by the principle that dance is valid in three areas:  work, worship and witness.  We support dancers in every arena as they seek their unique calling in the dance world.

HOW WE DO IT
The Project Dance Foundation and its three program areas:  Events, Atmosphere, and Broadway Underground are all made possible by more than 500 volunteers who serve within the organization.  More than 1500 dancers are encouraged and supported through Project Dance each year.

WHO WE ARE
The founder of The Project Dance Foundation is Cheryl Cutlip, former Radio City Rockette and Westminster Theological Seminary student.  Project Dance began in 2002 shortly after the events of 911 as a way of bringing hope and healing to the broken city streets of New York.  Participating dancers along with the public were moved by the event and desired to repeat the event the following year.  Today Project Dance is in more than 10 cities and there are a total of 20 cities slated to host Project Dance events in the future.  The New York event, now in its 13th year has a governor’s proclamation and has been named as one of the top ten dance events in New York City. The Project Dance Foundation (EIN 41-2098775) is exempt from U.S. federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

PD Blog
I was exposed to the ministry of The Project Dance Foundation by way of Katherine Gant, Artistic Director of Refuge Dance Company and Project Dance Atlanta Coordinator at that time. Joining the company at the end of their 2010 season, I was not yet introduced to their choreography for the Project Dance Atlanta, and instead volunteered in Merchandise and wherever they needed a helping hand. I must say, I was TRULY impressed and BLESSED! The things I admired about this event, was the lack of rivalry and competition between the various dance companies and dancers that performed, the cultural diversity and presentation of various dance styles, and the love, compassion, and teamwork that each dancer had for each other. Despite the differences in background, whether they were a friend or a stranger, EVERYONE was like-minded. EVERYONE eagerly cooperated with a mission to worship and carry the mandate of God's love and hope in the community of where the FREE outdoor/open air performance was held. I am definitely looking forward to Project Dance Greenville, and I am in full support! Come out and support Project Dance Greenville May 23-25 of 2014! You can register to perform, volunteer, or simply come and partake in the experience as a viewer! CAN'T WAIT!

PictureKeyfacta
Meet Keron Taylor, artist known as "Keyfacta"! There's only one word that identifies his artistic and spiritual nature, warrior; in the words of the artist known as Canton Jones, Keyfacta is a demon killer. Listeners can feel the mandate behind his songs, as he treks with one mission in mind: to reclaim and restore the industry. His fresh, edgy, and eclectic mix between hip hop, gospel, and rock music are extremely relevant to pop culture and will keep you dancing and wanting more. One cannot help but to bob their head, sway from side to side, and start moving once the distinct sound hits the ears. As for his lyrics, heavily entrenched with the word, testimony, intellectual thought, personal experiences, spiritual encounters, and worship. Keyfacta has currently been nominated for the 2014 Stellar Awards.

Humble, wise beyond years, and soft spoken but yet powerful and weighted with a heavenly influence that is sharp and piercing, Keyfacta is a brother and friend for 8 years. The husband of one of my dearest, closest friends, Donyelle Taylor, and the father of my sweet godchildren. I call the dynamic duo, Ma and Pa Taylor, because of the influence they have had in regards to my spiritual growth during my undergraduate years at the College of Charleston, and their level of maturity. Both are very dear to me personally.

Keyfacta's Artist Statement
Keron Taylor, artist known as “Keyfacta”, is a fresh and upcoming new face in the hip hop music industry. His mission is to present a relatable and God implied art form that will draw men back to the Originator. Being raised in the South Carolina, he yearned for the reformation of the music industry. With extensive vision and motivation, he has every intention of breaking barriers within the industry. He presses for the day when music will return to what it once was, a repentant art form. Presenting high quality artistic ability and perfected musicality, Keyfacta sets a standard of transcendent art in which listeners can engage in an aesthetic experience with the Creator. Why wait when you can help in bringing the vision in full fruition? Keeping God as the focus of his mission, believing Christ to be the epitome of holiness, and clinging to his testimony, Keyfacta humbly accepts the mandate of spitting lyrics that will speak life into the culture; sharing his story. All things began and end with God. Keep your eyes open, for the best is yet to come…

Meet JNES! I met Jnes 8 years ago through a manager at an event in Summerville, SC while pushing my own dance team at the College of Charleston. We were so young, growing, and full of dreams. However, it was then I immediately noticed that this guy was TALENTED; he has a strong calling, a heavy anointing, and a beautiful gift, vocally, that is so distinct, it is impossible to replicate. His voice is extremely melodious, with musicality that is so rich that one can only discern that the driving force behind his music is TRULY God himself, imparted and divinely inspired. There's no other way to describe the encounters one experiences by listening to his gut wrenching music, but as DIVINE. Despite life's adversities, his gift remains sharp, and even stronger than years before; the anointing becomes greater. His original lyrics are rooted in his own personal walk with God and testimony. God has truly given him the grace to reach such a generation with the gift of song. Since our meeting, we would touch base by way of passing, but when the time came to reunite as friends in Washington, D.C., I considered it to be a divine appointment for that season. He was a brother, an encourager, and would help to put things in right perspective.

The Artist Bio of JNES
Walter Jonathan Nesbit, son of Walter Nesbit and Cynthia Clark, was born on June 5, 1985 in Georgetown, South Carolina. Though his childhood was rough, as a young boy, Walter developed a strong passion for music. And at the age of thirteen, he began to write his own lyrics, his very first song being entitled “There’s Something About You Lord”. While others tried to discourage Walter’s passion, his mother stood close by his side and never failed to motivate her fervent son. At the age of seventeen, Walter made his talent a full time effort and began to take his skill and drive to another level. And in 2008, Walter Taylor, began work on a new label, Da Believas Music Group. Jnes has succeeded in creating a style of music that can be applied to anyone’s life. His words of inspiration give hope to all that listen and bring light to every struggle. Thanks to Jnes and Da Believas Music Group, a new beginning and a new era of music has emerged to challenge the church as well as the world. His unique style and untouched flavor dances into the hearts of his audience and one could only hope that his music will be nothing short of a blessing to you!

Katherine Gant, Artistic Director

I had the honor in dancing with this beautiful company from September 2010 to July 2012, and it was life changing for me. Not only did I grow as a dancer, but as an individual. What I loved the most about this company, is that I was able to partake in a mission that was so much greater than me. The Artistic Director, Katherine Gant, always did such a beautiful job at presenting her God inspired work to the masses. Not only is she a powerful force and vessel that God uses in the dance industry, but her excellent character, integrity, professionalism, and her ability to treat her fellow dancers and communicate to them in such a truthful but yet patient and loving manner, reflected her maturity level in teamwork. Katherine was always even-tempered, and handled every problem with such maturity. Every performance rehearsal and performance was done in a rather smooth, sufficient, drama free, and professional manner. Katherine has an eye for detail and is a rather persistent and hard worker, as she puts her all in making sure that each performance is done with perfection; every project is strictly organic. I am thankful for the company's patience in allowing me to stumble and grow as a dancer at that time, and Katherine's openness to express the Father's heart towards me during that season of my life. I always carry a piece of the company in my heart wherever I go as I continue in my journey. Since then I have grown so much, and in the places where I was not sure, not the most secure, or weak technique-wise as a dancer has been fully healed and is being made stronger. And I have them to thank in allowing me to grow in those areas at that time. Katherine is an excellent steward of the vision that God has given her. The Father is indeed proud of her works. Love you Katherine and Refuge!

Refuge Dance Company is a collection of professional dancers from the Atlanta area. Refuge presents thought-provoking works revealing a message of love & grace.

  • BRING THEM IN
Bring dancers into a safe place, a safe environment filled with love, grace, healing, and compassion. A place where they can become restored and released to embrace their dance as a gift to serve others.

  • BUILD THEM UP
Build them up to reach their full potential as an artist. Men and women who will die to themselves, their own earthly desires for success, and die to the pride and comparison they feel in the world of dance. Build them up to understand that we have a call - to impact those around us through our dance.

  • SEND THEM OUT
Send dancers out with the freedom and ability to
communicate through their art. Send them out to
        dance in local performances, professional
        environments, churches, missionary journeys -
        wherever God calls them.

  • The VISION of Refuge Dance Company is to allow dancers to explore their artistic ability in a safe environment as they draw closer to one another.

  • The MAIN PURPOSES of Refuge Dance Company are to present innovative works that display the dancer in an authentic manner as both a person and an artist with the goal of presenting dance in a way that is accessible for everyone, and to equip and train the next generation as leaders of the dance world.

I love Tasha! I met Tasha while living in Washington, D.C., as we trained with a South African Contemporary Dance Company based out of the Maryland/D.C. area. Tasha was such a kind, friendly, and humble spirit. It was rather refreshing and a ray of hope for me while living in a city so foreign to me at the time. I was truly grateful. Who would have known that 3 years later, we would be birthing our manifested visions of entrepreneurship and projects at the same time. Tasha founded and established an amazing cultural arts organization, Culture Smartz, Inc. I had the honor of supporting Tasha in her annual fundraising event, "Inspiration Through The Arts" April 2013 in Washington, D.C., and represented my dance program, Aletheia. Dance, Inc by doing a solo piece. I am always willing to support such an amazing project!

Culture Smartz was created to teach children about the beautiful unique countries around the world and their people, cultures, traditions and art forms in a fun and engaging way. They currently offer birthday party packages that are fun and educational. Each party is equiped with arts and crafts projects, stories, games, dance classes and so much more!

First off, I MUST start by saying, I-LOVE-SANNA-HAYNES! She is eclectic, cultured, well-rounded, sincere, polite, artistic, intelligent, responsible, supportive, helpful, grounded, selfless, giving, patient, humble, passionate, and she loves the Lord! It has been an honor in getting to know her, and I'm so glad we're friends! Sanna is another actress that I had the honor in inviting to teach introductory acting to the students of my dance organization a few years back, Aletheia. Dance, Inc, and they absolutely enjoyed her!

Sanna was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, but moved to the United States at the age of eight months old. At the age of 14,  Sanna started modeling and acting, and by age 15 she landed a major modeling contract in New York City. Quickly discovering that modeling wasn't her passion, Sanna decided to stick to acting.  Sanna studied theatre, film, and animation in college. Sanna moved to Los Angeles in 2008, graduating Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts at Azusa Pacific University. Sanna soon landed the Alloy Entertainment (production company responsible for Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Vampire Diaries) project PRIVATE based on the New York Times Bestselling Book series. While in LA, Sanna worked as an actor on several other projects before relocating to work in Atlanta. Sanna's credits include Coca-Cola, Tyler Perry Studios, Country Music Television, and more. She has also produced her very own film entitled, 34 inches.
Sanna is a member of SAG-AFTRA in good standing. In addition to acting, Sanna is a media professional, director, writer, and editor, and teaches acting for the camera through classes and private lessons. One of Sanna's favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct[a] your paths.
