Branton McMahan is the CEO of Project 29:11 Productions. I met Branton through the Christian Filmmakers Network in submitting my portfolio for his crew call as Director for the film, "Good & Faithful". After submitting my portfolio, I received an email for an interview for their Marketing Position. It was during the interview that I had the chance to meet the infamous three, Branton McMahan, Deja McCray, & Mikayla Denny, who are currently working as First Assistant Camera Operator, Second Assistant Camera Operator, & Line Producer along with me for the "The Sleepover". After the interview I left with two positions, Marketer & COVID-19 Coordinator. I truly enjoyed sitting in a few of their pre-production meetings, as Branton is extremely experienced, motivated, and passionate about filmmaking, and Mikayla Denny, who I absolutely adore, working right alongside him with such a detailed eye, a plethora of background knowledge as a film student abiding in Talking Rock, GA, and extremely organized. Branton abides in Villa Rica, GA, which is where all of his creative juices are stirred birthing the most beautiful divine art.
I started off in graphic design and content creation for their social media platform during pre-production, while creating their COVID-19 social distancing plan for productions days and submitted to be approved by the Film Director. I ended up working both positions remotely during production days due to feeling a little under the weather. Therefore, I virtually met with the assigned Production Assistants, along with Mikayla, via zoom for each production day, and delegated the COVID-19 Social Distancing Plan that I had created for the set, along with a list of materials for them to purchase for that plan, while maintaining the social media page. However, I still had a high time, and came onboard during post production to assist Branton in designing and capturing his vision for the movie's film poster. "Good & Faithful", is currently holding screenings at various locations, you can follow their upcoming screenings on facebook. You can also follow his other projects that are currently in pre-production on his website at https://project2911productions.weebly.com/. There are also several ways to connect with him by clicking on the listed social icons listed above. Click here to view the movie's trailer.

Meet Kamara Campbell! Kamara Campbell is the CEO of Exodus 12 Productions located in Columbia, South Carolina. She is the Writer & Director of the soon coming feature film, Identity. I had the privilege of connecting with Kamara through the global Christian Filmmaker's Network 1 year ago during COVID-19. While attempting to connect with local filmmakers of the South Carolina market by posting my request within the network, Kamara, along with a few others responded. From there we exchanged phone numbers, websites, and I even sent her the information to the Hollywood Prayer Network Columbia Chapter. When engaging in conversation over the phone, she mentioned the film project that she was currently working on, Identity, and was in the process of seeking more crew members. I simply told her what positions that I could hold to assist her in the pre-production and production process. Identity is a feature film that will be released in 2022. The film is about a high school senior by the name of Anthony Davis who posts his sexual orientation on social media, in which becomes viral to the general public. From then on the plot remains Anthony internally conflicting with his personal beliefs and coming to a resolve before it destroys his relationship with his family and faith in God. Campbell states: It is a film that is centered on the LGBT community and how to properly minister to their needs. Everyone knows somebody who has been impacted by the LGBT community, as well as everyone knows those "Christians" who seem to minister off balance. The idea for IDENTITY came in 2019. Our director/writer, Kamara Campbell, was a part of the LGBT community. She was able to experience many different types of hardships from inside as well as being a church kid. When she came to surrender her life to Christ in 2015, she realized the Lord started using her when sharing her testimony in helping the church know how to balance and minster effectively while still standing on the Word of God. Also she was able to help people who were in the LGBT community understand that God isn't calling them from going to gay to straight, but to realize they are broken and in need of a Savior who will help them walk in holiness and live upright. (Campbell, 2021) I too have had the honor of stating my experiences with witnessing to those of the LGBT community and why I fully support this film in a brief viral of why Marketing Truth supports the film. I have had the pleasure of wearing several hats, as Production Assistant, Casting Associate, Second Assistant Camera Operator, and soon Boom Operator. Each role has been such a delight. Bonding with the cast and crew and watching God move on the day of each production has been a blessing to witness first hand. I absolutely love the heart of Kamara, as she is very in tune with the Holy Spirit in listening to his instructions and acting in obedience, carefully capturing the vision that God is giving her, properly portraying the divinely inspired message, taking care of the transportation needs of her cast and crew members, and her leaps of faith. I truly pray that the film moves on the hearts of those in the church in how to show compassion towards those of the LGBT community and effectively reach them. I am looking forward to seeing the film in theaters and working alongside her in more projects to come. Nelson Robertson Sr. is a wonderful director that I have had the honor of getting to know by way of producing his first self written and directed film, The Sleepover. Nelson Robertson Sr. is the Assistant Pastor of Faith to Faith Ministries of Villa Rica, Georgia, a Life Coach, Entrepreneur, Producer/Writer, Husband, and Father of seven. He loves the Lord and his family to no end. He has a passion for enriching and uplifting lives through teaching faith and the unconditional love of the Lord. I met Mr. Robertson at a virtual gathering for the Atlanta Christian Filmmakers Network, coordinated by Filmmaker, Susan Smith, of Mystible Entertainment. It was a small group, each of us expressing our passion for filmmaking and our faith. Immediately after the gathering, Mr. Robertson emailed Marketing Truth as well as left a voicemail stating his interest in seeing how we can help him with a script that he had written. With such a humble spirit, Mr. Robertson stated that it was his first project, and that he will be learning from us through the entire process. Myself, along with Music Producer & Composer, Jonathan White, read the script that Mr. Robertson presented. After reading the script and role playing, we realized that it was a family film geared towards youth, and that the core of the film was for kingdom advancement. We both could not turn it down. The Sleepover, is a story about 4 high school girls, 3 have confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. However, one, Taylor, is not saved. While the other 3 teenage girls coordinated a sleepover, they invite Taylor. It's there at the sleepover that Taylor gives her life over to the Lord. Changes can take place anywhere, even at a sleepover. It's been such a delight in working alongside Mr. Robertson as the Producer throughout the pre-production process, from coordinating all of the administrative tasks, hiring crew, selecting cast members, crew and talent contracts, delegating tasks to each department, managing the progress of the crew members within each department from start to finish, and more. I am looking forward to working with him on set during our scheduled production days of April 7-10, 2022. All has been such a wonderful experience that I wouldn't trade in for the world. I am also anticipating what God has in store for the film, as I will be assisting the assigned Editor, Gary Lerenz, of Light Em Up Productions and Music Producer & Composer, Jonathan White, as an Assistant Editor in the pre-production process. We are all looking forward to seeing what Mr. Robertson decides as far as distribution. There is a lot that God has in store for The Sleepover and Mr. Robertson in the film industry as he continues to minister to the lives of the general public by way of film. We are looking forward to announcing his first screening in 2022, and hope to see you there! You can learn about Nelson Robertson and his ministry by click on the social icons posted above. Meet Patricia Williams, Thee Blueprint Coach that inspires those around her, as she embraces her very own blueprint as a survivor and overcomer. I originally met Patricia Williams in October of 2020, while performing a virtual and "over the phone" digital media consultation for her business referral network, Thee Collective Connection. At the time I was representing another company, and she questioned me as to why I wasn't doing this for my own business. I told her that I was lightly doing it on the side as freelance work, but I didn't want to blur the lines. Though intrigued by the materials presented within the consultation, she gave me a more detailed description of the small business owners within her network, and how it may be more feasible for them to use my personal services as a business owner, and not the company that I was representing. Due to the non-compete policy of the company at the time, I did not pursue. However, I eventually transferred from that position of that particular company, allowing me to join her business referral network, Thee Collective Connection. Since joining, I have had the opportunity to speak at one of their Meet & Greet representing Marketing Truth, LLC, meet other business owners within her network, participated as a panelist in a few of her social media LIVE discussions, and attended her Blueprint Entrepreneurial trainings, along with another close friend and business owner.
Patricia is a woman that wears many hats. Not only is she the CEO of her very own business referral network for entrepreneurs, influencers, non-profits, community leaders, and aspiring entrepreneurs, Thee Collective Connection, and Blueprint Entrepreneurial Trainer, in which she helps other business owners build their brands, but she is also the Co-Founder of Thee Emperial Elites. Thee Emperial Elites is a community outreach group created by her and her sister, geared towards geriatrics and youth. It originally began as a breast cancer awareness walk in honor of their aunt, who had breast cancer. Thee Emperial Elites has been going strong for 9 years. It has been a pleasure getting to know Patricia in the middle of COVID-19, as she has been such an inspiration in the midst of an pandemic that caused uncertainty for many small business owners. She is definitely a motivator and keeps you on your toes. At the age of 18, Smokes was a wife and mother. Being a new wife and mom, she would pull from her country roots. She learned from growing up in the country, that a way to a man’s heart was to his stomach. Cooking in the kitchen for long hours was therapeutic for her, especially when facing the down seasons of her life. It also continued to stir up and cultivate her passion. She got excitement out of spending long hours in the kitchen and concocting new things. She believed that cooking gave her a distinction as a wife, meaning that being a good wife that was pleasing to her husband correlated with her ability to cook.
Overtime, as she grew older in age, she developed a love for cooking for the public. She started a catering business on the side called, “Candy House”. She truly enjoyed individuals tasting her food and giving her their honest opinion. Receiving compliments stirred up her confidence and a great feeling in knowing that she could do something to make someone else happy. She felt as though she was contributing something to the world. In March 2020, Smokes became temporarily unemployed due to COVID-19. While quarantined due to the mandatory shut in, she tapped back into her passion, which was a therapy during the tough times. It was fun, brought her joy, and she would do it all over again. It was at this temporary low season that it was suggested by a close friend that was always a fan of her cooking and did work in marketing and production, to start her own online cooking show. After all, it was the perfect time to start an online cooking show, as everyone spent most of their time at home roaming the internet. Smokes loved the idea, and her friend, along with her team, worked together to design what they discovered was Smoke’s hidden dream, and from there it was history. You can visit "Cooking With Katina", by visiting her website at www.cookingwithkatina.com! SUCCESSFUL WEDDING & EVENT SHOWCASE PRODUCER. WEDDING PLANNER. WIFE. MOM. ![]() Stephanie Forte is a powerful woman that wears many hats. Though she constantly juggles a lot between work & home life, she remains on top of things and is highly successful due to her passion, ambition, tenacity, organization, and planning skills. Forte states, “I’ve always loved planning. I’m a planner.” She would attend wedding planning events throughout the midlands, and would take pieces from the weddings and keep them. “Though I was a wedding consultant for years, I’m planning to move away from that to focus more on the wedding expo. Weddings are just a lot of work.” Although, I have persuaded her to do mine, as I adore her taste, and told her not to worry as mine will not be too much work. Savvy Soiree Wedding & Event Showcase is a wedding & event expo that consists of some of the best wedding vendors all under one roof. The wedding expo was birthed 5 years ago between two wedding professionals, Stephanie Forte & Andrea Knapp, whose relationship originally began online in a wedding group for event planning, followed by their first business date at a restaurant in Florence, South Carolina. It was then that they discovered that they were the perfect “business match made in heaven”. From there they took on the task to produce their first wedding expo in the late summer of 2015 at a small venue. At the time it was only 1 showcase a year. The bridal show market changed 5 times before they entered the market as Savvy Soiree. They have seen the shows in Florence change producers that many times since she became a part of the wedding industry. Though there have been constant changes, Forte remains up to date by visiting other bridal showcases, indulging herself in the market. Her and her partner have studied the market enough to know when to hold their expos, as they have now moved forward in producing 2 expos a year, a January expo during engagement season in Florence, SC and a summer showcase in Lake City, SC. Both seasons, are considered the booming seasons for bridal businesses. Though the showcases always run smoothly and appear glamorous, as Forte gracefully carries a rather calm demeanor while working the floor of the event, she confesses that the day of the expos can be a stress as it’s not only a lot to put together, but a lot to hold together on the day of the show. Forte is in charge of the vendors & models. Her task for coordinating the vendors includes, invitations, access codes, building access, price adjusting, sponsors, and more. As for her duty in coordinating the models, her task list consists of bridal fittings, modeling roster, and the beauty teams. I have had the pleasure of modeling in her expos and working under her supervision, and I must say, she is very organized and professional at what she does. Forte claims that usually after the expos, she has to break away and decompress as it take a lot out of her, and I can totally relate. Forte goes on to talk about the bridal fashion industry and bridal designers that are taking off in the fashion industry, creating fashion shows for their apparel. One mentioned designer, Juliet’s Bridal and Formalwear, is one of her favorites. Her designs are of the Asian market that are cheaper in price, but are very high end. You never know where business may take you, as it’s been suggested to Forte to consider the Atlanta market as far as expos, or referring their bridal designers to the Atlanta fashion industry. Her expos have always been so successful, wth rich bridal vendors and fashion, that I feel it will boom in the Atlanta Market! Author. Business Owner. Survivor. Inspirational Speaker. Clarisa Hyson is the mother of four and a successful business woman. As a business owner, she holds a vision that empowers women, educating and nurturing the whole female by creating a strong support system which consists of speaking engagements at seminars, local groups, soon to be released books, fitness instruction, and a podcast. She is the owner of Words Matter and founded Woman That Shall. Woman That Shall is a platform of support with a mission to equip women with the love, knowledge, and support to conquer every obstacle and situation that life presents with poise and grace. It stands on 6 pillars: faith, health and wellness, life balance and organization, motivational encouragement, self esteem and validation, domestic violence awareness and survivor support. Behind her businesses lies a testimony of a woman who found her voice after feeling voiceless in several abusive relationships and a detrimental marriage. She discovered that she tended to attract abusers, and it seemed to have stemmed from childhood, in which she was told that she was a liar. From there it instilled a fear in her, in which she felt her voice did not matter. It was a struggle to speak up for herself. After being delivered from a detrimental marriage, she committed herself to making sure other women did not feel as invaluable as she did during the end of her first marriage, and that they become bold enough to use that key to free themselves. She does this through speaking engagements, in which she feels led to motivate and inspire. Though she considers her speaking engagements to be more inspirational than spiritual, she speaks on whatever topic she is asked and is led by heart to speak on what is needed at the time. Currently, Hyson is abiding in Columbia, South Carolina. She will officially be a published author early 2020, featuring her book entitled, “Kiera’s New Shoes”, and she is a “soon to be” certified fitness instructor. She is also in the process of releasing her weekly podcast entitled, “Sunday’s With Risa” She’s also spoken at several seminars and women’s groups, carrying the message of “Be the Standard You Want in Life”. You can follow her journey and listen to her inspiring words by way of instagram @Clarisa_Hyson and Facebook @WordsMatter. |
